In a press release from earlier today, Maserati announced the North American debut of a landmark vehicle for the brand. The first SUV in the company’s 100+ year history, the Maserati Levante will be shown March 23 and 24, during Press Preview Days at the New York International Auto Show.
At first glance, Maserati’s distinctive Italian design language is immediately apparent. With tapered headlights, large frameless windows, tapered rear window, and streamlined shape, the luxurious SUV’s exterior aesthetic is reminiscent of high-performance sports cars.
Available with three powerful engine choices, the Levante also promises full off-road capabilities thanks to a strong chassis, intelligent all-wheel drive, and a sophisticated electronic suspension system with controlled damping and air springs, which can be to five different clearance levels.
The new Maserati Levante is expected to launch towards the end of the year with a starting MSRP of $76,000.
