Maserati GranTurismo Folgore Preview

As time goes on, more and more electric vehicles are making their way onto the roads in Great Neck, Massapequa, and across the globe. Maserati is one of the many automakers with plans to go fully electric by 2030. One of those stepping stones is to release all-electric versions for all of the Maserati models in the Folgore lineup. And the upcoming 2024 GranTurismo Folgore is just the start of the brighter future of Maserati. The galvanized supercar is said to start around $215,000 and will go on sale sometime during the fall of 2023.

World-Class Performance, Reimagined

As we enter a new era of electric vehicles, some have qualms about leaving behind the power that comes with the turbo-charged engines found on Maserati vehicles. The GranTurismo EV may not be able to roar out for others on Jericho roads to hear but will exude its prowess through a silent hum, like a big cat prowling cautiously in the night, staying quiet to not disturb its prey. Acceleration and top speeds have yet to be established, but the GranTurismo EV is expected to be far faster than its gasoline-powered kin, especially when placed in the Corsa drive mode. And thanks to a trifecta of electric motors, the electric GranTurismo will be able to churn out an astounding 818 horsepower, making the GranTurismo the most powerful Maserati ever.

Out-of-this-World Charging Capabilities

The GranTurismo Folgore will come equipped with an 83.0-kWh battery. On a single charge, the GranTurismo EV will be able to travel for up to 280 miles, but this is only an estimate. Charging capabilities for the electric GranTurismo will be ultra-fast. With a 270 kW connection, the GranTurismo Folgore will be able to gain 100km (or about 62 miles) of range in 5 minutes. That may not seem like much, but with this rate, you can get a full charge in less than 20 minutes.

Sustainable, Luxurious Bliss

The interior of the electric Maserati GranTurismo Folgore lives up to its sustainability. Its plush cabin will cleverly feature recycled materials transformed into luxurious upholstery. In total, the GranTurismo Folgore will be able to host up to 4 passengers. A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen will be present and will support Maserati’s most recent Google-based infotainment system. Of course, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will both be standard and wireless. Audiophiles will be able to upgrade to a 19-speaker Sonus Faber premium sound system.
